I have served in the government and private sectors for over 20 years in the UK and internationally. My leadership has spanned roles including; Teacher, Principal Teacher, Head of Faculty, Academic Vice Principal, and Principal. During my time as a school based leader, I have undertaken many additional roles to support school improvement in my school and across my districts including, Professional Development Trainer and Academic Quality Improvement Development Officer. I am certified with Tribal UK and NEASC USA as both a school inspector and school visitor. I have been privileged to lead 4 flagship schools in the UAE and am currently serving as the founding principal of the first charter school in the UAE. In terms of leadership roles and responsibilities, I believe my leadership style has contributed to the success I have had to date; the skill to lead strategically with heart and rigor, the understanding and knowledge of how to develop and inspire a positive and ambitious cultural and the ability to work collaboratively, transparently and cooperatively within a successful team valuing everyone’s contributions. My current role has allowed me to demonstrate leadership behaviours and ethical practices. I am the driving force behind the school’s success thus far. This has been recognised by the government sector stakeholders namely ADEK and my Aldar Education. “The principal has a clear vision for the school. Leaders have created a positive learning culture for students and staff, and morale is high.
