His PhD research involves linguistic creativity in television drama, systemic functional linguistics and multimodality, and has published several journal articles and a book chapter in these areas. Locky had worked closely with Hotel CON and Tesla in organising multiple EV events since joining the charity Charged HK in 2015, including Charged HK Rally 2015 and 2016, Belilios Public School EV Summer Program. He was responsible for liaising with the media, speaking publicly at interviews, as well as handling marketing and public relations for the charity. His contribution has helped develop Charged HK into an internationally recognised brand in less than 2 years. He was later hired as the Innovation & Public Relations Manager at Hotel ICON. Currently, he is the Director of Education at Charged Hong Kong and Senior Research Assistant/Assistant Lecturer at the Centre for Applied English Studies in the University of Hong Kong.
