My lifelong fascination with the role that work plays in people’s lives has ultimately led me to complete the first PhD globally identifying ‘Financial Freedom’ as a new lifestyle and social movement. Now, as the contemporary workforce strives for improved health, happiness and wellbeing, it is critical that organisations take head of broader implications of the trends in this space. Operating at the leading edge of this field of thought leadership, I offer organisations the ability to view employee engagement, wellbeing and happiness in new ways, ultimately improving workforce productivity and preparing organisations proactively for the ‘future of work’. Additionally, I combine an advanced research management skill-set with a foundation in business improvement. With organisations such as CBA, the NSW Department of Education and the Australian Crime Commission, I have led innovative programs of work, using skills in project management, risk management, stakeholder engagement and systems/process improvement to realise productivity benefits. Underpinning all of this has been an ability to connect with diverse audiences and deliver information in accessible ways. Of the belief that collaboration is key to meaningful innovation, illustrated most clearly during my tenure with the Australian Crime Commission, I am comfortable leading outcomes in ambiguous and pressured environments. I am now applying my skills and expertise to bridge the gap between workplace research and public policy and practice through the newly established NSW Public Policy Institute.
