I started my career as a Chemical Engineer with a paint factory in China after completing my degree in Chemical Engineering. During this time I involved in researching and developing new products for the firm and assisted in the design and building of a new plant. After 5 years working as a Chemical Engineer, I moved on to work as an Interpreter/Translator for a Chinese and Australian Joint Venture for 3 years. During this time, I was an interpreter/Translator for the management, workers, government officials and resident Australian Representatives on daily basis, and a Conference Interpreter for the company’s board meetings. In 1998 I immigrated to Australia. During my early years in Australia, I continued my love for translating/ interpreting and worked for several organizations including Cairns Base Hospital and Migrant agents. After that I worked for an IT reseller as Purchasing Officer. During this time, I took study in IT field and eventually gained a diploma in IT. In 2005 I joined the Act Today supporting Newcastle and Central Coast. During this time, I assisted in managing and delivering a variety of ACT! consulting projects. With my passion for ACT!, I enjoyed helping businesses implement a customised ACT! system to manage and improve their customer relationships. In 2011 I joined MicroChannel Services as a CRM System Support/Consultant. Since then I have been responsible for providing system support/consulting for both Microsoft Dynamic CRM and Sage CRM to clients. In 2014 to further pursue my love for translation/interpreting, I went on acquiring an Advanced Diploma in Translation and gained national accreditation in Translation between English and Chinese in both directions. In my free time, I translate documents /books in both languages for companies who may have interests in trading with China.
