Lisa Law is a I am a Clinical Psychologist, University Lecturer and Speaker based in Tel Aviv and Pardes Hanna, with a Doctorate from the University of London. In addition, I have specialist training in Psychodynamic and Systemic Family Therapies from the Tavistock Clinic and Narrative Therapy/ supervision skills from the Barcai Institute. I have 24 years of experience working with children, adults, couples, families and groups. I use a variety of models and tailor therapy according to the needs of the individual/ family. In addition I have 17 years of experience as a University Lecturer, Speaker and Trainer. I provide a range of psychological services to the public, private and voluntary sectors, including: Psychological assessments Therapeutic interventions University lecturing Guest speaking Training and workshops Psycho-legal report writing Specialties: I teach and speak about a variety of psychological topics, including: coping with personal and entrepreneurial failure ('Failing Forward') and enhancing wellbeing. I am interested in issues of immigration and acculturation. My doctoral thesis focuses on cultural sensitivity. I have lectured on working with diverse populations and issues of oppression, as well as issues of identity, the use of Narrative Theory and post-modern/ social constructionist ideas, clinical psychology and epistemology and the use of qualitative methods in clinical and social psychology. I have been involved with the development of refugee support systems, providing consultation to aid groups and the UN, and psychological assessments for the Ministry of Education. My private practice is geared to towards the particular difficulties of immigrants. I provide bilingual therapy to mixed culture couples.
