  Linell Grundman is a Linell began her professional career working in Germany for the Department of Defense in Moral Support. Her area of expertise was music and theatre. Linell's training and education in music, theatre, education, and theology took place at The University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth KS. After more than a decade of professional experience with the DOD and as a freelance theatre artist, Linell joined the Army to gain training and education in Public Health and Preventive Medicine. She served for 8 years in the Army Medical Corps, where during active duty in Germany she met her husband. She has followed him for his career during the past 31 years and raised their two children. Her work experience during the past 30 years has been in the arts, in government as an elected and appointed official, volunteering in community and issue related groups. She has lived in Canada, Washington DC and in Sandwich on Cape Cod. After living 18 years in Sandwich Linell has returned to Washington DC. While in Sandwich she developed her advocate voice about school funding, lack of social emotional support for children, and other important social issues, heading up several advocacy groups and helping to form a ballot question committee when a proposition 2 and 1/2 override was needed. She sought and won a seat on the Sandwich Board of Selectman in 2007 and was reelected in 2010. Serving in municipal and regional government for almost 10 years was a rich and educational experience. She was part of many accomplishments. A few favorite include being a founding member of the County Substance Abuse Prevention Council and helping Sandwich restore its historic town hall. Social justice has been a driving force in Linell's life. She believes deeply in the power of our spirits, the arts, honest communication, and civic engagement. She believes strongly in the role of government as means to positive change. She cares deeply for all people. She want to be a part of the solution.
