Mrs. Ferreira is the Canadian counterpart of a team developing modules related to land use planning process, utilization of renewable technologies (related to reforestation and food security), community capacity training, and local economic development. This is a partnership with the local municipality and the local community association of Arcatao in El Salvador. Lidia is a professional trained facilitator with the ICA (The Canadian Institute of Cultural Affairs - ICA Canada) in Participatory Strategic Planning, Community Workshop Facilitation, Team Work and Community Development Projects. She was awarded with the prestigious Toronto Community Foundation Vital People Award for her outstanding environmental community work in Toronto. Besides, Lidia is a past board of directors of well known not-for-profit organizations such as the Toronto Environmental Alliance (TEA) and the North York Community House (NYCH). Lidia is fluent in Spanish, English and Guarani. She lives in Toronto, Canada.
