In June of 1996 I joined North Coast Electric. North Coast was an early believer in the concept that technology can make a difference in the distribution business. That attitude has proven invaluable as technology continues to evolve. Today, we have a whole new set of challenges and opportunities, but our technologists continue to make a difference. Our focus today is finding ways to drive out costs, improve service delivery, and use technology as the foundation for continuous improvement. We are continuing to expand our ability to measure, analyze and predict trends through business intelligence; and bringing new technology resources to build bridges with customers and vendors. Both distributors and manufacturers in the electrical wholesale industry continue to work together to adopt smart digital solutions. Many of these driven by committees and councils that bring together dedicated people from both manufacturing and distribution. Participating in NAED's Strategic Technology Committee, IDEA's Industry Advisory Committee and Affiliated Distributor's eContent Initiative Steering Committee has allowed me to be a part of leveraging technology for both North Coast and our peers. Working with bright people from across the country has been and education and a pleasure.
