Originally a tribal survival strategy, not only found in rural communities but also increasingly applied in all sectors of modern African society, from healthcare and education to justice. Ubuntu is gaining increasing recognition from icons such as Mandela, Tutu, Obama and Sirleaf. I was not born with Ubuntu in my genes. But global philosophies have been recognised and adopted by many worldwide for centuries, disseminated and translated into applicability. Ubuntu felt like coming home. I strongly believe in the ability of organisations to bring change. Innovative, agile organisations that can tackle current crises and contribute to a better world. It was obvious to implement Ubuntu leadership within my organisation. But the corporate anthropologist and the trainer/coach in me wanted more. I want to transfer and share my knowledge and experiences. It is best done by writing management books, being a (keynote) speaker and giving interactive masterclasses. In an inspiring way, I provide practical lessons and tips to people who are looking for not only a different way but a better one.
