Leonardo Dias is a I help organizations from the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors create and Deliver Value through sustainability locally, regionally and internationally. I design, manage and implement sustainability projects throughout their entire lifecycle, advise on strategy for sustainable development, build trust to enable alliances / partnerships, and design narratives. I began to do sustainability projects at an early age due to family involvement with sustainability projects in low-income areas of Brazil during the 1990s. I have 28 years’ experience as a senior change manager working for multinational corporations doing multi-lateral/disciplinary/cultural projects in all continents. The Dow Jones Sustainability Index acknowledged as world best practice the project ‘Sustainable Supply Chain’ (aimed at tackling climate change and poverty), I designed and implemented for Telefónica & O2, where I was selected as high potential. I co-designed/delivered a course on 'Public Participation for Sustainable Urban Development' for Rio+20 that won the international public vote for the best learning event in the United Nations web. I implement projects such as: •pubic participation for urban spaces co-creation •recycling •urban gardening •employment generation •access to University •entrepreneurship, or •leadership empowerment I’ve been working for organizations like: •Government of Madrid and Rio, also in the Olympic Games •Banco Santander and Repsol in Latam & Spain, and Mapfre in favelas such as in Manaus / Amazonas •Lead Canada NGO worldwide •Change Foundation in the UK I am a fellow of: •St Catherine's College at the University of Oxford •LEAD International •itdUPM Innovation & Technology for Development Key points to the work I do: •Collective value generation •Radical listening •Trust building •Co-creation •Behaviour change •Local people must be empowered to be the protagonists of their own story of change •Combination of community development and business skills I teach at graduate and undergraduate levels.
