I learnt in the early stages of my career that success was not just about just getting the “next bum on seat.” It's about knowing your market, stakeholders, their vision and partnering to source talent to support future business growth After a strong career as a leader within the Agency world in 2015 I decided to move internal working for the BBC where I held various different roles from building teams, owning a key global recruitment programme, to looking after Executive Hiring across the Design + Engineering team. It was an exciting journey however in 2019 was approached by Uber to grow their Engineering Leadership capability in EMEA and felt this was an opportunity too good to miss. After being made made redundant in 2020, due to the pandemic, I was approached by Flexport and am currently leading recruitment for Europe. We are a growing Talent function who work hard, are deeply passionate about what we do but most importantly we have fun! Working together to empower each other every day to be the best! This is what has driven our success so far and long may it continue. We truly are #oneteam and I am excited about what the future holds!
