Laura Satchwell is a I’m a confident, sharp thinking, versatile graduate with a 2:1(Hons) Bio-veterinary science degree from the University of Lincoln. With a proven set of communication, analytical, nursing and caring skills, I obtained my level 3 diploma in veterinary nursing, from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in November 2018. I’m punctual, tenacious, flexible, compassionate and highly organised. Working as a team player in a 24-hour veterinary hospital, as well as working in specialist and first opinion practices in Australia for the last year, I am confident in proposing fresh ideas to the benefit of my inpatients and clients, whilst being secure about working on initiative and independently in hospital, theatre and reception environments. In addition, experience gained working in animal volunteer roles in Africa and placements on farms, has enabled me to work under pressure, providing efficient, careful and controlled animal care and husbandry, as well as meeting the demanding needs of the individual roles. I am now leveraging my qualifications and experience by pursuing a successful career as a qualified veterinary nurse in a clinical environment.
