A Southern California native, she got her feet wet in the Bay Area restaurant industry by supplementing her public relations courses at the University of San Francisco with serving, bartending, and interning at some of the cityu2019s most prominent agencies. After graduation, Lani then kickstarted a career in hospitality marketing at Wagstaff Worldwide where she cultivated lifelong relationships with local and national media contacts. She went on to lead PR campaigns for over 20 high-profile restaurants, hotels, fast casual brands, and culinary events over this time in addition to driving social media and marketing initiatives for each hospitality account. From there, she joined af&co., a San Francisco-based hospitality consulting agency, where she took on a hybrid role to lead initiatives between the PR and marketing departments. She then joined award-winning MINA Group to manage publicity for Chef Michael Mina, in addition to overseeing dynamic PR and marketing strategies for 45+ unique restaurants across the globe. Now, as a bi-continental marketing and communications consultant, Lani is thrilled to utilize her deep roots in the hospitality and media communities to bring awareness and success to an industry that she cares so deeply about. She also serves as PR & Restaurant Chair for Share our Strengthu2019s Taste of the Nation in addition to volunteering her time with World Central Kitchen and CUESA. When sheu2019s not catering to her travel bug and moving between her home country and Europe, she can be found recipe testing from NYT Cooking's latest and of course, updating her social media pages.
