Kylie Russell Email & Phone Number | I've always had an interest in health care. Right after leaving high school I trained as a nurse, but became disillusioned with the mainstream health care system. Working in a naturopath's office as a receptionist opened my eyes to alternative health care, and I haven't looked back. I have four children, and while they were young I did a lot of informal study and reading to further my knowledge in alternative health. Eventually I studied to become a Bowen Therapist - a wonderful bodywork technique that I still practice today (see www.bowentherapycentre.com.au). I decided to go to university to learn more about movement of the body, choosing to study exercise science in order to enhance the Bowen Therapy work that I did, and decided to also study nutrition out of personal interest. One of my children has coeliac disease and three have Asperger's Syndrome, and I thought I might learn something useful for them. Well, I fell in love with nutrition and after completing my degree went on to study nutritional medicine, so that I could work one-on-one with people to improve their health. I have special interests in chronic disease management, mental health, thyroid conditions, and gut health.
