I have worked with HEPI Kenya and learnt how to conduct research in depth gaining knowledge in interpreting raw data and ethics around it. Having had the YALI experience with delegates from around East Africa and this fueled the curiosity to understand how different countries and communities perceive health and what forms of cultures and beliefs inform their prevention and treatment of illnesses. Working with Signvrse has enabled me to understand the deaf community and try to provide solutions to their everyday life and I am intrigued to find insight on ways in which high income countries manage their health systems and the policies on problem solving and how this can be assimilated to low income countries and low resource settings.
