I am responsible for: - Membership management for 11 medical specialty societies. - Troubleshooting all issues for the AMS iMIS database and RiSE websites. - Train all AMS staff on iMIS, Informz/Higher Logic and RiSE websites - Work with Texas Medical Association's Web Development department to help create and maintain RiSE websites for our societies.As well as being the Technology Administrator for the AMS department of TMA, I am also the Administrative Director for the Texas Association of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. I provide support for their board of directors, work with the program chairs to plan their CME meetings, recruit new members, keep track of membership and dues as well as keep track of their finances.In addition to my other roles, I am also the Administrative Coordinator for two County Medical Societies. I manage the board of directors and society meetings for the Concho Valley County Medical Society and the Brazoria County Medical Society.Managed the Texas Dermatological Society. Provide managerial support for the Texas Dermatological Society. Duties include: 1. Plan two Continuing Medical Education conferences per year in the state of Texas. This includes negotiating hotel and food and beverage contracts, offsite social events, joint sponsorship with an accredited Continuing Medical Education (CME) joint sponsor for physician education credit, and onsite staffing of the meeting. 2. Liaison to the Texas Dermatological Society board of directors. Meet with board of directors during the two CME conferences per year. Participate in conference calls as needed. 3. Manage finanances for society. Create financial reports for the board of directors semi-annually. 4. Collaborate with an educational committee to plan continuing medical education (CME) agendas and work with joint sponsor for CME credit. 5. Organize expo hall for the two CME conferences per year. This includes contacting companies with an invitation to attend the conference at different levels of support. At the conference this includes keeping the exhibitors happy by providing what they need.Provide membership support for Texas Dermatological Society (TDS) and Texas Neurological Society (TNS). Societies use the iMIS database system. I am responsible for keeping membership records up to date, billing dues, and running reports as requested. Special projects manager for Texas Academy of Physician Assistants. in charge of Texas Physician Assistant Foundation and exhibits manager for all continuing medical education conferences. Conference Duties: Exhibit Manager for TAPA, TDS and TNS, which entails locating companies to purchase exhibit space, work with hotel/conference centers to allocate space, and be the onsite contact for exhibitors at the conference. I also run all pre-registration and onsite registration for continuing medical education conferences. This entails registering conference attendees in iMIS database, creating a syllabus, sinage, badges, conference materials, and onsite staffing of the conference. Meeting Planner for Texas Ambulatory Surgical Center Society.- Membership coordinator for Texas Dermatological Society, Texas Neurological Society, and Texas Academy of Physician Assistants. - Process applications and handle all member questions about society and medical practice as a whole. - Department contact for database usage, work closely with Technical Information Services department using the iMIS_10 database and have intermediate/advanced knowledge of Crystal report writing. - Handle registration duties and exhibitor duties before and during annual meetings.Provided administrative support for three departments; Continuing Medical Education, Medical Education Policy, and Medical Education Studies. * Co-staffed the International Medical Graduate Governing Council and Section, including communications, creating bi-annual newsletter, promotion and coordination of activities and programs, and agenda preparation and distribution * Provided support for physicians concerning Continuing Medical Education requirements for annual Texas license renewal * Utilized AS400 - The Association Membership Processing System - database system to provide Continuing Medical Education transcripts for physicians * Conducted research on the Internet and library as needed for Medical Education Studies and Policy * Assisted with the coordination of the annual Continuing Medical Education Conference, including agenda preparation and distribution, creating name badges, registration events, promotion and coordination of activities and programs * Developed and maintained a current database of various councils, committees, and subcommittees, and correspond with each * Distributed annual surveys to Medical School Graduates, Residents and Fellows and enter data received into database.
