  Kris Steele is a I am a business graduate with an MA (Merit) in English Language Teaching and Applied Linguistics (King’s College, London), a Trinity TESOL Diploma and Certificate, and more than 20 years ELT experience including teaching, teacher-training, management and examining. My current research interests include exploring the use of GenAI and machine-learning for the betterment of the teaching/learning process. I am in the process of preparing a PhD proposal on the potential AI development of material for testing purposes. I am also heavily involved in course and material production/development. Prior to my current role, I worked in the university sector for several years. During this time, I worked for The University of Wales (TSD) Swansea, where I lectured and contributed significantly to their online testing system. Before that, I worked for Bilkent University, Ankara as a Teacher of Composition/EAP, which required me to develop and teach my own Content Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) task-based syllabus, and to carry out action research as a part of my studies. Before this, I worked for The University of the Arts London as an Academic English Language Tutor for four years. As a part of my role, I provided both presessional and insessional language support, as well as acting as a study skills tutor. I have also worked as a Director of Studies/Teacher-Trainer. I consider myself to be a professional, enthusiastic and motivating teacher/trainer, and strive to achieve excellence in all that I do. I am as comfortable working independently as I am working as part of a team, and enjoy working with colleagues in order to successfully achieve shared goals and objectives. In addition, I aim to be an active team-player with a proactive approach to problem-solving. I would say that I have exemplary social skills and a generally positive outlook, which help to contribute positively to the workplace. My approach to teaching is both holistic and humanistic, and I aim to adopt an eclectic style, dependant on student and institutional needs.
