Eventually, this lead to my studies and degree in writing and literature and, ultimately, I found my purpose with a career in internal communications. However, at the end of the day, my job is all about the people. Whether it's informing, educating or empowering my audience, everything boils down to those I collaborate with and those I collaborate for. Implementing a clear and relatable communications strategy makes for a more engaging work culture and makes navigating the working hours that bit simpler. That's what I strive for. Just one of my proudest moments was my involvement in successfully launching a new intranet for 5000+ staff members, involving our people in its development with a consultative approach and managing a platform which is still going strong to this day. This involved the creation of a three-month plan to redesign our operations platform, migrate existing content alongside creating new content formats and driving traffic to the new platform.
