I've recently helped recruit and onboard a new Azure data engineering team to deliver a data warehouse migration (40 +TB and some 100+ sources) from Netezza to Azure Synapse for TalkTalk Plc. We've not only adopted MS best practice but helped define it as we trailblazed forward with a best of breed solution. Leveraging a plethora of data services across the Azure landscape and created a highly competent team. We've had to adapt to the new cloud technologies and ways of working to navigate and deliver the most challenging of projects and created an incredible gold-plated enterprise BI solution. In turn this will provide much better value and insight at a fraction of the original cost for years to come. I've been involved in all aspects of delivery from PM, analyst, developer to architect.
