  KirstyLee Sharp is a My name is Dr. Kirsty-Lee Sharp and I am currently a senior lecturer in Marketing Management at the North West University Vanderbijlpark Campus, teaching Business Management and Marketing Research. From 2015 to July 2021 I held the position of Senior Lecturer at the Vaal University of Technology, having taught Consumer Behaviour to first and second year students from mid-2014 to mid-2019 and Retail Operations Management to first and third year students from 2019 to 2020. In 2020 I began teaching Marketing Management 1 and Retail Marketing to second year students. In 2021 I continued teaching Marketing Management 1 and ventured into teaching Advertising Management at a Postgraduate Diploma level and Sport Marketing at an Advanced Diploma level. My role as Senior Lecturer included the role of Chairperson for the Departmental Research and Innovation Committee and the role of timetable coordinator for the Marketing, Retail Business and Sport Management Department for the Vaal University of Technology from 2014 to 2019. I have supervised two Master of Business Administration (MBA) students, who completed and passed their MBA dissertations at the Management College of Southern Africa (MANCOSA) and one Masters in Marketing Management, who completed and passed her dissertation in 2021 at the Vaal University of Technology. As of the end of 2015, I have completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Higher Education at the Vaal University of Technology with cum laude. I obtained my Ph.D. in Marketing Management at the North West University, Vaal Triangle Campus, under the supervision of Professor Ayesha Bevan-Dye at the end of 2013, after graduating with my Masters in Marketing Management with Distinction in 2012. I am confident, driven, enthusiastic and goal orientated, striving to complete any given task with a sense of urgency. I am a people’s person, who enjoys working with people from all walks of life. I have well developed written and verbal communication skills and am able to communicate with individuals of all ages. I am adaptable to all working conditions and strive to make the best out of every situation. I love a challenge, the bigger the challenge, the better.
