Dr. Prine has a B.A. in Theology, with a focus on healing practices across many spiritual traditions; a M.Ed., and Ed.D. in counseling, specializing in behavioral medicine, sexuality and group work; and a CMT with training in Swedish/Esalen massage, Jin Shin Do acupressure, rebirthing, Deep Tissue massage, Amma (a Japanese massage therapy), bodywork for people facing life threatening illness, and sexual healing work as a sacred intimate. Dr. Prine is trained in energy work, emphasizing therapeutic touch, and attuned as a Traditional Reiki Master. Dr. Prine spent 17 years as a psychotherapist. His practice for queer people specialized in addictions/recovery (family dysfunction, chemical and sexual). Clinically trained as a sex therapist and trauma and grief counselor his work prepared him well for his roles which followed. During that period he was also the co-director of the Healing and Recovery Workshops, Inc., where he co-facilitated weekly groups on alternative healing and complimentary therapies. For six years he served as adjunct professor at the University of Cincinnati, teaching complementary therapies as they relate to HIV. Dr. Prine served on the faculty of the East Central AIDS Education and Training Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.
