I acknowledge the significant roles that First Nations Peoples across Australia have in maintaining their connection to and responsibilities to care for Country. I share my time between Queensland and the Kāpiti Coast, Aotearoa New Zealand. My commitment is to enhancing indigenous wellbeing, rights and advancement and I'm most proud of the research and evaluation work and resulting impacts associated with hauora (wellbeing) research with my own people of Te Ātiawa ki Whakarongotai. I work as an independent research and evaluation contractor, largely with indigenous populations on matters of interest to their communities. My governance skills are shared with organisations who value diversity and inclusiveness and making change for vulnerable populations. I'm currently undertaking my PhD with a focus on indigenous connections to whenua (land) and wellbeing. My PhD research question is - How do contemporary expressions of ūkaipō nurture whānau wellbeing?
