Representative transit projects include the Amtrak Northeast Corridor Electrification, Denver Eagle P3 Commuter Rail Electrification, various light rail, heavy rail and streetcar projects in Dallas, Houston, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, San Jose, Portland and the Venezuela Maracaibo and Valencia Rail Transit Systems. Kinh has also provided traction power design for electric trolleybus projects in San Francisco and Seattle. Kinh has co-authored an electrical engineering textbook, and authored/co-authored over 30 professional papers in the areas of rail traction electrification, power system protection, grounding, and substation programmable logic controller (PLC) controls. Kinh is also an adjunct professor of electrical engineering at various local colleges & universities including Portland Community College and George Fox University. Courses taught include circuit analysis, signals & systems, linear systems, and power supply systems.
