Throughout my undergraduate journey, i proactively pursued growth opportunities, secured multiple internships via Career Trackers. These experiences honed my skills in consulting and navigating the environmental impact assessment process. In my final year of my undergraduate degree I won the Indigenous Time and Sea Scholarship with CSIRO, this allowed me to join a month-long voyage on the RV Investigator. I was also able to travel to Tamil Nadu, India through the New Columbo plan where i immersed myself aquaculture for a month. Additionally I secured a 3 month internship with The Minderoo Foundation assisting on an AGF coral heat tolerance project, and started working with DPIRD as a research officer on their SADA team. Prior to commencing my Masters Degree I began working at Wungening Aboriginal Corporation initially as a communications officer, assisting on their Yes23 campaign before transitioning over to their research team. Outside of my professional endeavours, i am dedicated to environmental stewardship and have volunteered for DBCA on Dirk Hartog Island in their 2022 and 2024 turtle tagging expeditions, served as an ocean field guide at the Aquarium of Western Australia, and contributed to habitat conservation at the Jirdrarup Nature Reserve through their weeding programme. In my spare time I enjoy diving (OW) and underwater photography. Lets connect and collaborate on initiatives driving positive change in the marine world, conservation, data soverengity, and Indigenous empowerment.
