  Kevin Courtney is a After graduating high school in 2004 I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps the following year in 2005. I spent eight years as an infantryman with a varied enlistment as far as experiences. My first three-and-a-half years were spent at 8th and I Marine Barracks in Washington D.C. which is a ceremonial post. Then re-enlisted in 2009 where I did two deployments one with the Navy with a Marine Expeditionary Force (MEU) where I learned to work with foreign militaries and essentially intercultural work. Then Afghanistan which was a test of leadership and how to be a proper follower. Also management and administration were essential to that deployment. My last year I helped to train advisor teams while apart 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF) battalion. After I left the corps in 2013 I started my undergraduate studies at Trinity Bible College in the Fall of 2014. During that time I have worked in customer service for grocery stores and for the school it self as a teachers aide. That required me to learn data entry using the schools Moodle program along with whatever else the professor required. That was an uncomfortable job something that I was not use to. I have also worked in construction with two different companies ranging from roofing and restoration and renovation work. Both jobs required a lot of attention to detail, and patience since everything in that line of work is a process. Now I’m in my last year of school graduating in May. And the last year and a half I’ve been taking care of my father who is suffering from cervical dystonia as I finish my degree program. Which is going to be a Bachelors in biblical studies with a minor in church ministry, and a minor in business administration.
