Experienced with metallurgical analysis and equipment including scanning electron microscope (SEM), energy dispersive energy X-Ray spectrometry (EDS), optical microscope, hardness testing, sample preparation, metallographic etching, electrolytic etching, coating evaluation, weld evaluation and qualification, root cause analysis (RCA), component and alloy life assessments, leading projects through project management (Primavera P6, Windchill), project budgeting, mechanical testing, coordinating vendors, and presenting findings to management and customers. Familiar with ASTM and AWS standards, weld procedure specifications (WPS) and procedure qualification records (PQR), nickel based superalloys, steels, brazing, and thermal barrier coating (TBC) systems. I've earned a master's degree in materials science and engineering. I'm fortunate enough to use this knowledge daily. I work well independently and also collaborate well with other engineers in a team environment. I strive for growth and new challenges.
