I started at the local hospital in high school and currently coach for the NHC Special Olympics. I coach soccer, basketball and started the powerlifting team. I’ve assisted athletes in meeting and exceeding their goals. There is no greater reward than assisting someone with meeting their goals. Professionally, my first position was front desk greeter at a career college, within 4 months of working for Delta Career Education Corporation I was internally promoted to Administrative Assistant. As administrative assistant I created a filing system for both faculty and students. 6 months later I was promoted to Registrar for the online department. I took on the traditional tasks of a registrar and continued tasks as an administrative assistant, assisting the new director of education. Working as the online registrar I had the opportunity to work with students from across the country. After 6 months as a registrar my skills were further developed and recognized and I was offered a promotion to Administrative Assistant for the corporate Educational Department. Moving into this position required me to work remotely from my home office (company office based in Va). I worked closely with the corporate educational staff and staff and faculty from 40 campuses across the United States. I quickly proved my skills and was promoted to Instructional Design Coordinator. One of the major tasks I worked on was moving over 70% of our texts and curriculum from multiple publishers to one main publisher. I conducted several curriculum meetings and managed groups of instructors and subject matter experts in program updates. I’ve spent 8+ years in the education field working from the bottom up. Utilizing my experience in the education field, coaching, and my degrees I want to help those with disabilities find a positive physical outlet to help improve their overall wellness.
