I have been focusing my studies on understanding the bio-evolutionary neurology and genetics of traumatic stress for my entire academic journey in order to build pathways to beneficial outcomes for my clients, their families and communities. My career has taken me through employment counselling and social work, VET statistical analysis for the Australian National Training Authority, Army medical training and leadership, university Postgraduate Students Association President and Business tutor, trainer and assessor for a rehabilitation agency of the Queensland Corrective Services Commission, CEO of a Foundation, Core member of a Federal National Study on Military wellbeing and so much more. The highlight of my career was where my PhD attracted favourable attention from the Department of Veterans Affairs and many ex-service organisations, earning me a central role on the Department’s Consultative Forum for six years, studying the multi-generational impacts of trauma. I have spoken extensively at national and international conferences on this topic. I have been an Emergency Services volunteer for 35+yrs and have Medicare Provider and Workcover Qld registration. I have a YouTube channel for anyone to access relevant and meaningful inspiration and supports.
