After high school, my path took a detour through the world of retail and fast food, starting with a role at Mervyn’s department store. My drive and dedication quickly made me a standout employee, and although a desired promotion eluded me, it only fueled my ambition for greater achievements. This led me to McDonald’s, where I honed leadership skills as a shift leader, and to Supercuts, where at just 19, I became one of the youngest and first non-hairstylist store managers, a testament to my exceptional customer service and managerial abilities. These experiences, though seemingly unrelated to machining, were instrumental in shaping my work ethic, leadership style, and customer-centric approach. The blend of retail, customer service, and fast-paced operational management laid a unique foundation for my eventual return to the machining world at DialAct Corporation in Fremont, CA. At DialAct, I reconnected with my early love for machining. Rapidly advancing from a machinist to a prominent figure in the shop, I demonstrated my ability to handle high-value projects and my willingness to embrace long hours and challenging work. However, disillusionment with the company’s direction and a desire to pursue my own vision led me to leave. In partnership with a family friend, Rapid Prototype Machining Corp. was born. We started by acquiring machines and client lists, initially operating as equal partners. The company thrived, and after nearly a decade, I took sole ownership, relocating first to Modesto and then to Clovis, CA, in February 2023. Today, as the CEO and lead machinist of Rapid Prototype Machining Corp., my role is the culmination of a journey filled with diverse experiences. Each step, from the art room to the shop floor, from retail counters to CNC machines, has contributed to my unique perspective on business, machining, and customer relations. My mission remains the same: to deliver unparalleled CNC machining solutions, driven by a blend of artistic vision and technical expertise, while ensuring every client receives the dedicated service they deserve.
