Prior to the TSA, Mr. Long served on active duty in the U.S. Army for over 23 years as both an enlisted soldier and as a commissioned Officer, attaining the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He served numerous tours both stateside and overseas, first as an Infantry officer, then as a Special Forces officer, leading units of increasing size, scope and complexity. He planned and participated in counter-narcotics operations and counter-terrorist operations throughout Central and South America, Europe, Africa and Asia.
