I got my Bachelor’s Degree from Weber State University in Musical Theatre. During this time I did Set Design and building, Hair & Makeup Design, Stage Management, Directing as well as performance. Some values I learned from this time are communication, collaboration, team building, repetition, consistency, innovative thinking and an ever striving drive for growth. My work history starts in food service & coffee shops, then commission based phone & tv sales. At this point I knew I didn’t want to be working for just a paycheck. I wanted to feel like I was helping people or at least selling something that I believed would help people. I turned to some of my favorite places to shop LUSH Cosmetics and Uptown Cheapskate. I was so excited to be supporting companies that were doing good things for our environment and for their customers. I was promoted to a floor leader at LUSH after 1 year. During my time at LUSH I took on several specialty roles including trainer, operations specialist, social media manager and visuals representative. After 2 years at LUSH, I was unexpectedly offered a Purple business card and an opportunity. I am so excited about these amazing products and I have truly seen them change people’s lives, including my own! Now it has been 2 1/2 years and I’m in my third role here. Purple is still my favorite color and you will see me wearing it even when I am not at work. I have just started a stretch assignment as a New Location Opening Leader. I am still running my showroom in Riverton but when it is time for a new store to open in my district I will support the Visual Merchandising team by being their eyes and ears on the ground. Excited to see what this new opportunity brings and connect with even more amazing people.
