As a Battalion Chief, I experienced and learned leadership, team work, problem solving in the highest stressed and rapidly changing environments, supervised members from varying walks of life, chaired multi-jurisdictional committees, and worked with state, local, and Federal governments, public entities and NGOs in different capacities. As Operation Officer for National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC), I was responsible for every aspect of a newly formed Federal entity. I oversaw hiring, recruitment, a Federal budget, all outreach and education. In this role, I collaborated with state, local, tribal, Federal and international partners while holding to strict governmental guidelines. I orchestrated the team to find unique and fresh ways to achieve our mission within the scope of practice set by the National Intelligence Community. My National Counterterrorism Center experience culminated in being honored with 3 three of the highest honors in the Intelligence Community for my exceptional performance in my role of Operations Officer.
