  Katherine Pipho is a I have been working in classrooms since the last year of my undergrad 2010. My undergrad degree is in secondary education with an emphasis in social studies. I worked as a substitute teacher in both Reno and Las Vegas. While in Las Vegas, I completed my student teaching in a seventh grade U.S. History class. While doing my student teaching all the classes were above 30 students and had one with 40. Also, while in Vegas I substituted and worked on my masters. While working on my masters I held down two long term substitute social studies jobs. The first was at an alternative high school for students who were considered limited English proficient. I taught two sections of world history, one of U.S. history and a section of computer applications. (Microsoft Office). The second, at a public high school where I taught three sections of U.S. government, and two of World History. In between the long term assignments, I was a day to day substitute in Clark County School District, one of the largest school districts in the country. Since moving to Massachusetts in October 2012. I worked as a day to day substitute while finishing my masters in curriculum and instruction. I took an aide position in Brookline at Baker School for the second half of the 2013-2014 school year. I worked in 7/8 Learning Center until the end of the 2014-2015 school year. I spent a year at Ottoson middle school in Arlington in the REACH program. Then spent 2 years at Dover-Sherborn Middle School before moving back to the west coast. Currently I have the Massachusetts initial teaching licensure in history for grades 5-8, and 9-12 with my SEI endorsement. I also hold my Nevada license in 7-12 Social Studies. Which qualified to teach world history, U.S. history, government, economics, psychology, sociology, and geography.
