Katherine Burke Email & Phone Number | I have been full-time with Dominion Energy since graduating from Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and Minor in Nuclear Engineering in May 2021. I work in the Mechanical Analysis group within Design Engineering under the Nuclear Engineering and Fuel (NEF) Department. I am a co-lead of the Flow Accelerated Corrosion (FAC) team, which analyzes the effect of this chemical phenomena on susceptible piping systems. My technical proficiency is in SFA CHECWORKS and FAC Manager. My roles include supporting the Dominion Nuclear Fleet and providing outage support for both Virginia sites, North Anna Power Station and Surry Power Station. Prior to my full-time employment, I co-op'd with Dominion Energy for a total of 5 rotations within the NEF Department. As a co-op, I served as a Dominion Energy Student Ambassador at Virginia Tech during the 2019-2020 school year. Today, I have continued my passion and interest for recruiting future Dominion interns by serving as the Design Engineering and Student Ambassador Representative for NEF University Partnership. My roles include organizing student engagement activities for current interns/co-ops and recruiting at various college career fairs. I am involved in various organizations throughout Dominion Energy, including Innovation Accelerators, Women in Nuclear (WIN) and North American Young Generation in Nuclear (NAYGN). My values day-to-day include producing safe, detail-oriented, well investigated, and timely work.
