She is now a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (FCA). - Katharine provides the audit of tax support on multiple major life insurance companies. She is also a Tax Accounting & Assurance Services champion for the PwC West Region. - Katharine has undertaken several specific secondments to major UK FTSE100 listed life insurance groups in recent years. The first was to help support the implementation of the changes to the Life Insurance Taxation regime coming into force from 1 January 2013, to assist in business planning as a result of these changes, as well as half year IFRS reporting. She has also supported the same client's Solvency II programme from a tax perspective as part of PwC's subject matter expert team on Solvency II tax. - Most recently over Summer 2018 Katharine was on short term secondment supporting a well known regional listed Life insurance and asset management group prepare for the sale of their life insurance business to a third party. She has then carried out a 5 month full time secondment between October 2018 and March 2019 to a FTSE listed Insurance, Real Estate and Investment Management group as Head of Tax Operations, responsible for Tax Compliance, Risk, Governance and Year End reporting. She returned part time between August 2019 and January 2020 to cover the new Head of Tax Operations whilst she was on sabbatical.
