Her current role focuses on confronting the housing crisis by organizing and advocating for pro-housing measures such as zoning reform and tenant protections while she is also the co-founder of HomePlace collective, a consultancy that works with schools and non-profits to deliver equitable civics education centered on the skill of activism. She currently and proudly serves as an appointed member of the zoning board of appeals in her current city, Haverhill, and is an executive committee member for the Planners of color network; a community of planners, builders, community workers, and professionals of color working to transform our built environment towards racial equity. She also serves as an advisory board member for the national Welcoming Neighbors network; a confederation of independent, place-based organizations advancing pro-housing policies through strategic, alliance-building campaigns. Her studies and professional interests lie in advancing progressive, equitable/anti-racist policy, community/coalition organizing, and critical participatory action research as methods to disrupt and dismantle systemic racism.
