For over a decade, I led within the non-profit—first entering the sector through a 10-month AmeriCorps term in the neighborhood where I grew up. After AmeriCorps, I joined Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas where I designed and implemented Girl Scout’s Gamma Sigma Girls program, a unique leadership development program for 6-12th grade girls focused on college-readiness, advocacy, community engagement and STEM. Today, I’m driving Amazon's design education and diversity efforts, collaborating with students, educators and strategic partners to prepare the next wave of designers for promising careers in tech. Specifically, we are focused on investing in long-term, unique programs that will increase access to design education and awareness of design careers in historically underinvested communities. Outside of work, I’m an advocate and active National board member for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society focused on improving the lives of those living with MS and ultimately ending MS forever.
