Responsible for setting up the strategy and process around new product development. From 2013-2018 worked in various roles across the network as Senior Director Formulation and solid dose development. From 2013-2016 as leader heading the technical teams at Milton Park, UK and Bourgoin, France and responsible for integrating the sites into one unit. From 2016-2018 , being part of Pharmaceutical Development Services (PDS) management team operated in a global role to support site leaders, sales executives and customer on best scientific approaches to formulation and process challenges for softgel and other solid dosage forms. Working across the network of in total 9 development sites in Europe and North America. From 2011 till 2013 I led Banners European R&D team to develop new product technologies and formulations based on softgel delivery formulations. In this position I was a Member of the regional Site Management Team in Tilburg. In December 2013 Banner was acquired by Patheon I starter my career in R&D at Organon NV with a PhD study in 2000. In 2003 I continued within R&D in leadership positions, initially as group leader Solids within Organon and after the acquisition of Organon by respectively Schering-Plough (2007) and Merck (2009) I became section Head solid dosage forms, responsible for formulation and development and up scaling of processes used to manufacture solid dosage forms and the subsequent transfer to the manufacturing organization. In addition to my role as R&D leader, from 2006-2011 I led a drug product and Global CMC team responsible for the development for an in-licensed product developed in collaboration with an external partner. The project was designated as the pilot for quality by design within Organon/Schering-Plough legacy to define and fortify the company’s Quality by Design process by integrating Quality Risk Management and Process Analytical Technology principles. In these roles I was responsible for coordinating and integrating all of the scientific and technical work streams including product development, drug substance, regulatory, supply chain, quality, technical operations with the business processes of the launch plan, managing cross-functional coordination and resolution. In 2011, after obtaining market authorization approval for the product, I switch to the position of R&D Director Europe within Banner.
