Currently the Lead Narrative Designer and Lead Writer on Pacific Drive, a 2024 Top 10 Best Selling game. In this survival car "road-like", Karrie wrote the story and the entirety of its voiced dialogue, designed its missions and narrative delivery systems, and implemented its narrative in Unreal Engine 4, cast and directed voiceover recording. Karrie Shao has launched over 50 titles as a narrative designer, producer, and marketing/ communications director. She was one of the first female writers and producers at Riot Games. Her narrative and writing credits include League of Legends, Pacific Drive, Per Aspera (Raw Fury), Not Tonight 2 (No More Robots), and Totemic (Humble Games). She's also produced on League of Legends, Hello Neighbor, and BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle; and lead marketing projects for Sayonara Wild Hearts, The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, and Psychonauts 2.
