True to form, I ultimately went on to study politics at university, graduating from McGill with an Honour’s degree in International Development and Political Science. My first job out of university was in Brazil. I didn’t speak Portuguese, but that didn’t faze me. I learned. A few years later, I joined the Canadian Labour Congress in Ottawa. That early knack for diplomacy became a full-time career in government relations, public policy and public engagement. My work has never been just politics, however. I love anything and everything that’s creative, innovative and has an impact. I am always looking to take on a new challenge and believe in doing work that has a positive impact.
