Operational Efficiency and Safeguarding of Bank from Potential losses - Contribute to ensuring the branch operations comply with Business Instruction Manual and Financial Instruction Manual requirements. Establish controls, procedures and local and compliance regulations, and ensuring satisfactory audit ratings are achieved adhering to regulatory requirements. Customer Retention Strategy - Contribute to retain customers by personally handling complaints in accordance with the complaint handling system in force at HSBC, and entering all complaints received to Customer feedback solution system and ensuring the complaints are resolved accordingly by actively contributing to the relationship management programme and enhancing cross sales at Premier Centre Branch. Responsible for the branch’s overall operational activities, customer service, sales, strategy and compliance and Act as the vault custodian of the branch.Responsibilities By growing the customer portfolio and continuously seeking opportunities to offer customers solutions through a range of products to meet customers’ needs Consistently achieving sales targets for each product Acting promptly on all leads and follow-up activity, in order to close the sale Working with the premier team to plan sales activities Planning and implementing strategies and programmes for customer acquisition/retention and increasing the cross-sell ration in the HP segment To ensure that the global Premier brand and its promises are delivered at all times. Responsibilities Effectively manage fraud investigations related to all business functions in HSBC Sri Lanka, in order to minimize/prevent financial and reputation losses Recommend action plans to the senior management on lessons learnt, trends and procedural lapses identified during investigations to prevent and recurrence Maintain good relationship with law enforcement authorities and effective follow up on cases received from all business units Maintain proper records and prompt reporting of frauds, procedural lapses and near misses to facilitate accounting and operational risk management processes as per group standards Conduct regular staff trainings and workshops on effective fraud detection to both front-line and back office staff. Coordinating with law enforcement authorities to obtain their input for this purpose will also come under my purview On call to attend for reporting of any type of fraudulent activities or to be alert on high-risk card transactions. Responsibilities Monitor all day-to-day activities and maintain IT equipment and stationary costs Ensure all recovery plans are up to-date The branch’s point of contact with head office personnel located in Hong Kong in the event of global software system failures or user errors. Responsible for liaising with the head office personal and solving global software failures that could cripple local operations within the branch. Responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all computer systems within the premises, which includes server systems operation on AS 400 client software systems that operate on employee workstations both head office and card center. Responsible for the implementation of precautionary measures that are used by HSBC to eradicate security risks and reduce recovery time of client interface systems To introduce/enhance procedures to eliminate staff and system errors to smooth up operations. Responsibilities Involved in the bank’s network operations and administration Hardware installation and maintenance Assisting the new branch setup planning Member of the IT team that is responsible for upgrading software systems. This is a continuous task that is carried out frequently, where software problems are upgraded and tested to ensure smooth transition and zero data loss.
