I also have a good deal of experience working on customer/client magazines and literature, having spent nearly 3 years full-time at John Brown Publishing in London, working for clients from Santander bank and Virgin to Budweiser and Orange. I've also worked for other customer/client publishers in London, such as Show Media and Forward Publishing. My work at these companies has ranged from editing to writing news and features and subediting, as well as taking part directly in client meetings and maintaining day-to-day contact with clients. I have worked as part of a team on many of these publications as well as working as chief subeditor and/or production editor with a team of subs below me. I work closely with editors, designers, writers, picture desks and also the repro houses and printers. I'm usually hired for anything from a few hours to a few months' at a time. I am now based in Paris, France, and am always looking for new work that I can do in an office or at home, either working in Word or InDesign, both of which I have on my Mac.
