I began in residential new construction, then made the switch to hvac controls and building automation with a company called National Control Services. With them I worked at Aberdeen Proving Grounds on a large scale commercial project for a couple of years. I learned how to read and comprehend schematics and submittals. I went to IEC apprenticeship and completed the 4 years. Then I went and passed my journeyman’s exam. I felt that my regular electric knowledge was lacking due to my being in the low-voltage side of things and I got back into lighting and power for a while. After doing “regular” electric for a while, the relays were calling me back haha. I went back to BAS with a company called Ralph Ellis Construction. It was the same boss I had had before when I first learned controls. I’ve since settled in at Northrop Grumman for the last few years, but on the side have achieved my Master Electrical License and formed an LLC (JustIn Time Electric). I am curious, eager, and honest. If I don’t know something, I will promptly say so. I am highly personally accountable. I have a good attitude and am always wanting to learn. If you’re not moving forwards, you’re moving backwards
