Jun Li Email & Phone Number | Jun Li received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degree from the School of Mathematics and Statistics of Carleton University, Canada, in 2003 and 2008, respectively. During his graduate studies, Dr. Li was awarded numerous scholarships, including four Ontario Graduate Scholarships (OGS) (2004 – 2008) and a Dewan Chand and Ratna Devi Marwah Memorial Scholarship in Mathematics and Statistics (2005), and was on final list of nominees for University medals. He was a recipient of CRC President’s Excellence Award in 2010 for his excellence of research in wireless networks. Dr. Li held an instructor position from January 2007 to March 2009 and was a post-doctoral fellow between September 2008 and March 2009 at Carleton University. He is currently research scientist at the Communications Research Centre Canada (CRC), Canada's federal government institute of research in wireless communications and networks. His research interests include network protocol design, modeling/analysis/simulation for wireless (mobile) networks, and communication network performance evaluation/optimization. He has published more than thirty conference and journal papers. Dr. Li is a member of the technical program committees of many international conferences including IEEE ICC, IEEE GLOBECOM, IEEE WCNC, IEEE ICCCN and MILCOM. He serves as Symposium Co-Chair of the Network Algorithms and Performance Evaluation symposium on the 2nd International Conference on Computing, Networking, and Communications (ICNC’2013), Symposium Co-Chair of the Wireless Networking symposium on ICNC’2014, and Publication Chair on the International Conference on Ad Hoc Networks (ADHOCNETS 2012, 2013). He is a Senior Member of IEEE serving as Vice Chair of the Joint Chapter of Signal Processing, Oceanic Engineering, and Geoscience and Remote Sensing of the IEEE Ottawa Section.
