A firefighter, Doctor, Actress and Astronaut are just some of the things kids really want to be when they grow up. When asked what I wanted to be when I grow up, I said something that will probably make you giggle but that was 100% from the heart. I said this " I want to be a dolphin trainer" Now just to clarify, I did not actually want to 'train' dolphins, I wanted to rehabilitate them. As kids we do not always know the words to use when telling someone what it is we aspire to be one day. That day was 17 years ago... I am now a 'grown up' 26 year young Woman who finished high school in Johannesburg, moved to the Mother City and got her Bachelors Degree in Corporate Communication (with a *). I am no longer that little girl wanting to 'train' dolphins but I am still that little girl who wants to rehabilitate them. Animals have always been an integral part of my life which is why I commit my time to volunteering at animal shelters as much as I possibly can in order to give some of these beautiful creatures a second chance in this world. Life however cannot be all work and no fun so here are just a few of my personal interests and hobbies: - Running - Hiking - Surfing (Just the entire ocean actually) - Rock climbing - Writing short stories, poems and journal entries - Reading for fun and for work (although reading is always fun for me!) - Spending quality time with my friends, family and loved ones And... If you haven't guessed by now dogs and dolphins are my favorite animals!
