Joyce Wong is a Joyce Anne C. Wong is a partner whose practice focuses on general corporate matters as well as the more specialized fields of Securities & Capital Markets, Project Development & Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Banking & Finance. Joyce graduated from Columbia University in the City of New York (Columbia Law) with a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in May 2018. She received an honors distinction as a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and was awarded a Parker Certificate of International Law. She was chosen to participate in Columbia Law’s United Nations (UN) Externship Program and placed with the Marshall Islands Permanent Mission to the UN in New York where she worked as a legal advisor on climate change and environmental treaties, and sustainable development projects. Joyce was admitted to the New York Bar in 2019. Joyce’s corporate practice extends to corporate restructuring, project financing and registration of foreign investments in nationalized industries such as banking, real estate, retail, media and telecommunications, and energy and infrastructure projects. She has been involved in both domestic and cross-border deals involving equity and debt transactions, including Initial Public Offering of leading Philippine-registered companies, follow on and rights offering, as well as issuance of both local and international bonds. Joyce has also served as corporate secretary and compliance officer for several private and public corporations. Joyce received her bachelor’s degree in Management from the Ateneo de Manila University in 2007 where she graduated with an honorable mention. She thereafter received her juris doctor degree from the same university in 2012, graduating with second honors. Joyce was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2013 and joined Romulo Law Office in the same year.
