Founding a start-up boutique Investment Bank during the Financial Crisis honed entrepreneurial skills and capitalised on short-term market dislocations. Returning to Credit Suisse in a Senior Business Development role offered an opportunity to harness creativity & tenacity in the context of managing 100+M relationships. Somewhere in between, I Co-Founded a socially focused frozen yogurt franchise focused on youth education. In 2012, I decided to make a major career pivot by attending Stanford GSB with a focus on taking socially focused, for-profit businesses to scale thus proving the viability of this model. Growth & success in this area has been demonstrated through experiences at both ZOLA & Fenix International where I served a key role in securing over 250M of growth capital, opening 10 new markets, building & leading critical teams across the business and offering clean energy & life changing financial services to over 450,000 customers across Africa. Together we must focus on collaboratively turning the greatest challenges of our time - climate change, education, access to finance - into opportunities by harnessing capital forces for positive social good.
