Joshua Lowe Email & Phone Number | Prior to commencing a PhD, my background was originally in nutrition, dietetics and exercise science, where I completed both Bachelor's and Master's qualifications, focussing largely on clinical skills and research in the allied health field. During this time, I developed a profound interest in neuroscience, and have pursued this in my current project which focuses on systemic mechanisms of brain rejuvenation. In particular, I'm interested in how platelets can influence adult neurogenesis, and the role that exercise and dietary factors may play in this mechanism. I also have a strong commitment to teaching and learning, and value my ongoing role as a casual academic/tutor within health and behavioural sciences faculty at the University of Queensland.
