Joshua Howerton Email & Phone Number | I began my EMS career with Action Care Ambulance in Centennial, Colorado as an EMT-Basic. I quickly transitioned to Rural/Metro Colorado working in the Aurora, CO 911 system. Rural/Metro merged with Pridemark Paramedics and after 2 years functioning as an EMT-Basic I started paramedic school. While attending school and working full time on an ambulance I was able to hone my clinical skills in the real-world environment. I was working as a paramedic in a busy 911 system, promoted to Lieutenant and eventually Captain for the Colorado operation. Several years later I was given the amazing opportunity to join Apex Paramedics as a Founding Member filling the roll of Lead Paramedic. I have since been promoted to Director of Operations giving me the opportunity to enhance and further my pursuit not of management but Leadership. As a graduate of ASM in the spring of 2017 I was able to develop a network of highly-skilled professionals that operate at equal levels within their own organizations. My previous experience working in juvenile corrections and at an inpatient psychiatric hospital have helped to round out my leadership abilities and potential.
