My past work includes two years at Blackpool Teaching Hospital where I worked across a wide breadth of clinical specialities and completed my foundation years, and two years of work as a paediatric specialist trainee, of which twelve months was working in Neonatal Intensive Care. I am experienced in caring for acutely unwell patients, and in particular in resuscitation. Since September 2022 I have been working as a Principle House Officer (Unaccredited registrar) in Emergency medicine. My duties in this role include taking charge of the Emergency Department of a busy secondary hospital during the night. Additionally, I have worked in the Emergency Department of a rural hospital. Most recently, I am gaining experience in Adult Intensive Care, taking a 10 week break as a resident in my local intensive care department. I am competent in the use of point-of-care Ultrasound, where I regularly insert peripheral cannula, , central lines, PICC lines, and arterial lines under ultrasound. My skills extend to the use of non-accredited echocardiography and use of ultrasound in the Emergency Department. Since 2023 I have been an associate lecturer with the University of Queensland, and I very often teach both medical students and junior doctors. I was a BMA junior representative during my foundation years and from March 2021 I have been the Junior Doctor Forum lead at my department.
